Biography
Attorney Emily Hornsby is the daughter of a former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice and a lifelong resident of Alabama. From 2001 to 2004, Ms. Hornsby worked as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alabama, representing the Jefferson County Department of Human Resources in child abuse and neglect cases. She is currently a partner at Morris Haynes Attorneys at Law, and focuses her practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases stemming from product defects, truck accidents, industrial accidents, legionella pneumonia, and fraud. In 2018, Ms. Hornsby was appointed to serve on the Quality of Life, Health and Wellness Task Force of the Alabama Bar Association and in 2019 was appointed as co-chair of the Birmingham Bar’s Health and Wellness Committee.
