Jason Lamar Wollitz

I had a misdemeanor charge against me and found Jason (https://lawyers.justia.com/lawyer/jason-l-wollitz-1668241 ) via a google search. When I first contacted him, he was very kind so I retained him. He asked me to pay him $2500 via Venmo. When I did it using for goods and services he had no idea wha...t that meant and then couldn’t accept it. Then he asked for Zelle so I paid him another $2500. Then he sent me the oddest document to sign for not being present at my trial that essentially made it sound as if I was pleading guilty when I wasn’t. Though I got it confirmed by other lawyers that it was ok, they said they had never seen it done the way he did it and that it mad me no sense. I decided to change lawyers and asked for my money back, minus what I owed him for time he put in. He gave me back $2500 and said he would work on his books to get me the rest he owed me but ghosted me and never responds anymore. Though he may be a fine lawyer, it was all very shady and I don’t recommend anyone use him.
