Lack of work ethics and knowledge.

Mr.McElheny was hired by me under Whettermark & Keith as a personal injury attorney. He seemed very polite, however, McElheny showed no work efforts /ethics on my personal injury claim. As a result, my case was dismissed on summary judgment. Our 1st time ever meeting was 20 mins (before the meeting g...ot started) prior to a (3-year) waited deposition by the city, which he was ill prepared to offer up questions to the defendant in DETAIL. I witness McElheny bring into the board room of the deposition, one un-written legal pad/a writing utensil and no documents of any. He seeded to make up the questions as he went along...to the defendant. I couldn't believe the unfinished, obvious questions that McElheny never asked...the police officer that ran into me...He was very ill prepare for the deposition and afterwards, I stated my concerns to him... McElheny presented himself to me as having not done any prior investigating on my case. (None). If he had asked more detail questions, only studied the finished deposition and investigated the words of the defendant, McElheny could have made arguments on my case. In not making arguments against the movant, the summary was granted in favor of the officer that injured me and my vehicle. During the defendants many motions against my case, I asked McElheny could I attend any of these hearings, he said "NO". I later checked with another attorney to see if this was something that I could have attend and the answer was " YES", that the hearing are open to the public. After the case was totally dismissed, the city wanted to give me money. I declined. (Why give me anything if the case is dismissed). I told Mr McElheny that I wanted to appeal the case. He replied that "Whettermark &keith does not handle appeals", that I would need an appellate lawyer. I called the W&k law firm in Bham /Gaston to find out that McElheny lied again. The firm does take on appeals cases and they do have appellate lawyers for such cases. Not permitting me to set in on the hearings and dropping the case after the judge said, " I find no fault with the officer", "case dismissed". I have never felt like the defendant in a case where I was the plaintiff (a legally parked car that was struck). To sum it up fairly, lier and lacking in heading up and handling my case. What do you say about W&k, and John McElheny after all of this? Turn in your license.
