Lawrence Forsythe Johnson

Lawrence Johnson was raised in a military family and lived on bases in Honolulu, Hawaii and Washington, D.C.  He loved sports and played them all until he eventually gravitated towards tennis as a teenager. He was nationally ranked as a junior player and a state champion at Albert Einstein High School in Kensington, Maryland.

Lawrence attended the Virginia Military Institute on a tennis scholarship and majored in English. Although, the Spartan living conditions at VMI were very challenging, Lawrence graduated in four years at the top of his major.

After graduating from VMI, Lawrence set his sights on obtaining a law degree and an M.B.A. Lawrence worked as Tennis professional to support himself and pay tuition en route to a law degree from Southwestern University and an M.B.A. from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.  Dual degrees helped Lawrence excel at BMG Music Publishing and in Biotech as Natren, Inc.’s Director of Professional, Ecommerce, and International Divisions.  

These experiences motivated Lawrence to start his own firm and in 2012, he founded L. F. Johnson Law Firm, L.L.C. which is a small boutique firm focusing on Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Custody/Visitation and Entertainment Law.

In addition to enjoying the opportunity to provide legal representation to the residents of Alabama, Lawrence is privileged to teach Trial Advocacy and Entertainment Law as a member of the faculty at the Birmingham School of Law.
