His previous roles as General Counsel and Director of Operations in the oil and gas industry bolster his comprehensive understanding of various business landscapes. His extensive travels across the Middle East and Africa have provided him with insights into the intricacies of these regions, assisting clients in countries such as Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Morocco.
A seasoned immigration attorney, Joey excels in assisting multinational corporations through the entire immigration process. He addresses issues like immigration-related discrimination and facilitates the negotiation processes that involve foreign workers in corporate mergers and acquisitions. His work includes developing thorough visa and residency programs for businesses and acquiring critical employment-based visas such as H-1B, L-1, and EB-5, among others.
With a litigation background, Joey provides counsel on complex disputes covering multiple jurisdictions and legal systems. His experience spans the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and he adeptly serves domestic and foreign clients, including top-tier corporations. Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, Joey has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Faculty and currently holds the title of Honorary Consul of Lebanon in Birmingham, Alabama.
