Benita Bell Jenkins

Attorney Jenkins is from the community of Ruth, Mississippi. Prior to attending Southern University Law Center, Attorney Jenkins earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with an emphasis in Pre-Law from Tougaloo College.

Attorney Jenkins has experience in the areas of Criminal Law, Family Law, Civil Law, Personal Injury, and Landlord/Tenant Law where she has successfully worked within these areas over the years.  With previous experience as a legal assistant for several firms around the United States, Attorney Jenkins knows what it takes to effectively and sufficiently serves her clients to her fullest potential.

Attorney Jenkins is a member of the Alabama State Bar and active in a number of professional organizations including, The American Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, and The Young Lawyers Section. During her time at Southern, she joined a Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and was a student attorney for the Southern University Juvenile Clinic. She also became a certified mediator for the state of Louisiana.

Attorney Jenkins is an advocate for equal rights and for representing her clients to the fullest extent that the law allows. She will strive to help every individual in hopes to resolve any and all of their concerns. She takes pride in helping those that wouldn’t have a voice without representation. Attorney Jenkins hopes that her legacy that she will leave behind shows that she is compassionate for all human beings and that she can make a difference in someone’s life.
