If you want to feel disposable

I received emails from Bryan I thought were from the opposing team, my minimal desires were treated as ridiculous and unfounded, and as if not worth his time. I had to go to my soon to be ex and settle with him personally which turned out better than if Mr. Laird would have handled it, because he ha...d already given up and blown it off. Wish I had a paid the $5000 to a devoted lawyer.

I am not familiar with this description or client name after reviewing the cases I have handled. It could be that the person leaving the review used an alias instead of their first name. With that being said, something that I do very often (and also what I believe makes me an excellent attorney) is play devil's advocate with my clients. I want them to see all aspects of their case and I will tell them exactly what I feel about their case, whether good or bad. Most people respect that, some don't care for it. I do not know if that was the case here or not, if I even represented this person. I will note that the amount listed by this review is extremely higher than what was charged when I worked at my previous employer or at my current office as an initial retainer. There were only a few extreme cases where this amount was charged, and I remember those cases extremely well and again I do not remember this first name associated with them. This person is more than welcome to contact me and we can discuss their issue further if they wish.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
