I chose to practice criminal defense because there I can use my knowledge, skills and education to help a person be better.  I do not relish in repeat offenders.  I want to defend you once and have you go off and become a productive member of society.  I have been around long enough to know the lasting devasting effects that contact with the criminal justice system can have on a life and the lives of all around the accused individual.  My experience teaches me that any contact from traffic to murder will impact a person in so many unknown ways.  A criminal defense attorney has to be more than just a lawyer with knowledge of the law.  I have to be a counsellor, a social worker, a scientist, a psychologist, knowledgable about resources and be able to motivate my client to want to succeed.  I remain a resource to all of my clients even beyond the termination of the representation.  I have represented more than twelve thousand individuals and probably performed more than 200 jury trials to verdict.  I have help many people obtain their licenses back.  I have helped people seal and expunge records.  I have been a catalyst of getting many young people who were on a bad path back on the right road and onto a successful future.  I have also helped reunite many familes.  I am knowledgable and relentless in finding whatever available resource that I can to help a client.  If I can help you I will.
