James Scott Constable

My practice is devoted to the property insurance industry. I started working for Liberty Mutual while in law school at Stetson University College of Law. After working for and defending insurance companies from 2007 to 2012, I decided to use my knowledge of insurance company strategies and defense tactics for the benefit of homeowners and commercial building owners.

Since 2012, I have represented thousands of homeowners and commercial building owners, helping them navigate the complex property insurance claims system. I have obtained multiple settlements in excess of $1 million, have resolved thousands of claims with average settlements well in excess of six figures, I have successfully argued for directed verdict on unique and complex coverage issues, and I have prevailed multi-day  trial to a successful jury verdict for the homeowner. 

Within the area of property insurance, I provide assistance for claims such as sinkhole, fire, water damage, flood, and wind. In March 2016, I moved my primary office from Tampa to the history downtown Safety Harbor, and formed Constable Law, P.A. My office is comprised of a team of lawyers, case managers and paralegals with substantial experience and dedication. 

If I'm not advocating for my clients, I can likely be found scuba diving and/or fishing in the beautiful waters surrounding Tampa Bay, and spending time with my son, Jarod, and my daugher, Juliana.
