Outstanding

William Sheslow is an incredibly talented attorney. He has a gift with the written and spoken word. His outstanding communication skills are key to his success in court. He is well respected for his collaborative style and ability to work well with all parties on a case, including opposing counsel.... In our case, Will worked very hard to expose the unethical activities that my family endured. Our case was convoluted and had several tentacles to coordinate. Will is a consummate professional and gifted strategist. He simplified and narrowed the objectives, to efficiently focus on the most urgent and compelling arguments. He did this with style and grace and managed to achieve the most favorable outcome for our family. Considering the stakes were very high, as an innocent person’s future was at risk, we are most grateful for Will’s hard work and determination to seek a just outcome for our family. Throughout the process, he uncovered many lies told by various parties. Like a doctor with an excellent bedside manner, Will is kind and patient with his clients and explains his methodology in a way that is easy for non-lawyers to understand. I would recommend him for any case he is willing to take, and would not hesitate to hire him. We were not even local clients and that fact did not diminish his performance. He is most reliable and will always be where he needs to be. Thank you Will for everything that you did for our family. We are forever grateful to you.

Will is the best!

I couldn't possibly express how wonderful Will Sheslow was handling my son's legal case. He was very professional and helpful. My son was facing 6 years in prison with drug related charges. Will was very trustworthy, knowledgeable and always kept me informed on the case. He worked very hard and the ...results was amazing! My son is not facing prison and is able to be home with his family. I totally recomend Will Sheslow & the law firm for your legal needs. Thank you Will from all of us

Kind in an Unkind Game

Mr. Sheslow is, first, a wunderkind. He hasn't been numbed by the system or the toil. Like his assistant, Deena Volk, who is artfully professional, he has a superior bedside manner. He knows how to speak honestly at a raw time to a raw person. At my injunction hearing I had sat against the wall, ...as far away as possible from The Other, the person who had publicly accused me of sexual battery, and her entourage. Will on the other hand sat near the aisle. He looked over at me, patted the seat next to him. When I joined him he pointed across the aisle: "Don't be cowed by them. You're innocent." He was Ray Donovan. I had a Ray Donovan. By being much better prepared Mr. Sheslow succeeded in forcing The Other's attorney to request a rescheduling of the hearing. Afterward we waited for the bailiff to tell us The Other had cleared the lobby of herself. The courthouse rumbled. Through the window the sky had opened. It was dark and pouring. Will offered me a ride to my car. I declined. He insisted. We drove around in the rain looking for my car. While we'd chatted earlier I found out he lived in Brandon where I grew up. I realized he had to drive all the way from Ocala to Brandon in a storm well after quitting time. He never once seemed impatient while he circled the blocks around the courthouse helping me find my car in the rain. I'm a pretty sensitive guy. Life at times has rattled me. But in the months following the accusations of The Other, I was a remnant dragging around my body. One day, Mr. Sheslow and I were on the phone. I was worried I would have to testify at the injunction hearing. I'd forgotten the Constitution. I'd forgotten my mother's maiden name. I'd been worried for days about how well my memory would work if The Other's attorney made me narrate my memory of Bad Night on the stand. Will reminded me with some passion that in this country someone who has been accused of any crime by anyone does not have to say anything. "I don’t mean to talk to you like a law Professor," he concluded. I was a little embarrassed I'd forgotten the Fifth Amendment at the one time I’d needed to remember it. I was a lot relieved Will was protecting me. The charges against me were never filed because Mr. Sheslow with skillful questioning allowed the accuser herself to demonstrate charges could not be justified.

"I endorse this lawyer. Will and I met when I was a prosecutor, and he was probably one of the most zealous advocates for his clients that I had met. Now we work together and I have a first-hand, front-row, day-to-day view of how he works so incredibly hard to make sure he achieves the absolute best result for his clients. He leaves no question unanswered and no stone unturned. He is not afraid to take risks or face challenges if it will be sure to benefit his clients. He is an excellent criminal defense attorney, and definitely a person you want on your side."
