Brent Matthew Lowman

Education

Brent M. Lowman, Esq. is an attorney with Lowman Law Firm. He was born in Brooksville, Florida, and earned a Bachelor of Accounting at the University of Florida. He was also a Certified Public Accountant and a Captain in the United States Marines. Brent earned his law degree from Florida State University and was admitted to the Florida State Bar in October 2011.

Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant after Officer Candidate School in August 2010. Promoted to 1st Lieutenant in August of 2012.
Graduated from The Basic School in December of 2012.  
Graduated from the Naval Justice School in March of 2013.  
Stationed at Headquarters Support Battalion, Camp Lejeune, NC.  
Promoted to Captain in October 2014.
Served as Civil attorney for 1 year.
Served as military prosecutor for 15 months.

Completed a variety of complex corporate returns for C-Corps, S-Corps, and Partnerships. Also prepared individual returns for high net worth individuals in the Tampa Bay region. Conducted tax research on behalf of partners for complicated tax matters.

Performed all compilation work and financial reporting for a variety of commercial and personal clients in North Florida and South Georgia. Experience with end of month procedures, payroll, fixed assets, AP/AR, and general ledger. Completed variety of 1040s, 1120s, 1065s.

Researched and drafted memorandums on complex legal issues for the Chief Judge in the areas of tax, estate and insurance law. Drafted Judicial Orders that were reviewed and signed by the Chief Judge.
