Biography
Mr. Friedland is licensed to practice law in all state courts within the State of Florida. He is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family, Circuit Civil, and Appellate Mediator.
Mr. Friedland was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He attended Southern Connecticut State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. Mr. Friedland then attended the University of Connecticut School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1975.
Mr. Friedland practiced law in Connecticut from 1975 through 1988 when he relocated his practice to Sarasota, Florida.
He is a member of the Family Law Sections, Alternate Dispute Resolution and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar, Sarasota County Bar Association, American Bar Associatio and the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators.
He is a Master in the Thomas E. Penich Elder Law Inn Of Court.
He is a Master Emeritus in the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court.
Mr. Friedland has served on the boards of several non profit associations and has been an active Rotarian for over 40 years.
