I was served with papers to modify time sharing and child support. So obviously it’s already a stressful time for me. I consulted a couple attorneys and chose Stephen. BAD idea! The papers I was served with said I had to respond within 20 days. I paid him a retainer (can’t remember exactly how much s...ince this happened in 2016 but I believe it was $3,000) anyways, he DID NOT RESPOND TO THE COURT!!!! So now, I’m in contempt for not responding after I PAID him to represent me!!! It was a huge debacle to switch attorneys, notify the court requesting more time, and then trying to get my $3,000 back! So consider this I’m already down $3,000 from him, then I have to get another attorney to fix the problem which I think was closer $4,000 (can’t remember exactly) totaling roughly $7,000. I work as a registered nurse, I’m a single mom, we live in Sarasota (the rent isn’t cheap) my son goes to private school (because public school expelled him in kindergarten for ADHD behaviors, yes he was expelled from kindergarten) so I pay tuition as well. AND NOW I’m $7,000 dollars in the hole because of Stephen Hillebrand. It took months to get my $3,000 back but I finally did. DO NOT HIRE HIM
