Michael E Sweeting

I was admitted to the Florida Bar in December 1976. Over my 35 plus years of practing law I have handled numerous types of case. Including Marital and Family law, litigation, crimianl defense [In my earlier years I a was also a State Attorney (prosecutor)], workers compensation, adoptions, child support and custody, personal injury (slip and falls, vehiclar crashes, domestic violence injuctions representing petitioners and respondent, appeals before the Second District Court of Appeals.

I have tried numerous jury cases and even more trials before a Judge without a jury In additions  I have handled hundreds of non-final hearings before Judges and taken depositions in preparation for trials or in settlement.

On a personal note, I am 61 years of age and I was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. Ihave an adult son who is 24 years old who was raised in Sarasota also.

My Father, Buck Sweeting was also born and raised in Sarasota and my grandfather, Gene Sweeting was born in Manatee County (Sarasota did not come into existence until 1921)
