OUTCOME: My client won and the case was returned to his home state

This was a very complex case involving the legal rights of an unmarried father that did not consent to an out of state adoption. He immediately sought custody of the child, however the adoption agency ... and the prospective parents, moved the child out of state anyway. The legal issues involved due process rights of a biological father and does the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) override the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA).
