I hired John a few years ago to help me with a case that I was involved and it didn't end up so well. To begin with, he assured me that I would win the case - which is a big no-no legally. Well, I lost the case as well as the $2000 that I paid him. John didn't show up to court on my court date. He fa...xed a letter to the court saying that he was my lawyer. Essentially I paid $2000 for that and a free consultation. When I called John afterwards he didnt return my calls. His assistant asked me to make an appointment with him to talk to him about it. So I did- we talked for 10 minutes and I was left with a bad feeling about the whole legal system. To top everything off he sent me a bill for $95 for that meeting..granted that was a mistake and cleared up.
