Joshua Adam Grant

My father passed away a few months ago and the accountant named in his will - to be his personal representative - immediately hired Joshua Grant to represent him (according to Grant). Mr. Grant's office forwarded partially executed paperwork that I needed to sign as co-trustee. I noticed several cr...itical errors when I reviewed the paperwork and advised Mr. Grant of those errors. His response was dismissive, hostile and he had me strike through the errors and handwrite the corrections in the applicable spaces. In our first conversation, Grant told me that the accountant and he were having trouble locating my father's assets and that they were engaged in a "search and recon mission" to locate them. I was concerned because my father was a meticulous businessman and kept his estate work updated regularly. I am also an attorney and and would have had the accountant and my father complete a basic list/inventory of assets at the onset of representation. Joshua Grant's office drafted what I believe to be the most recent amendment to my father's will (which would make my father his client) and yet Grant did not have basic information or refused to share it with my family. When I advised Grant that I was going to hire counsel to represent my family and assist in locating my father's assets, he became extremely defensive and accused me of being hostile. Any professional who balks at someone else assisting or providing a second opinion in the matter is, in my opinion, automatically suspect and/or inexperienced. Do not trust this lawyer.
