Jun 10, 2011OUTCOME: The Board of Immigration Appeals affirmed the decisions of the Immigration Judge. My client was allowed to remain in the Country with his family.
Our client was granted cancellation of removal by the Immigration Judge and was allowed to remain in the U.S. legally. The Immigration Judge's decision was based on the hardship that his qualifying U. ... S. Citizen relatives would experience if our client was removed from the Country. The Department of Homeland Security appealed the Immigration Judge's decision to the Board of Immigration Appeals. I represented the client and researched and wrote the appellate brief arguing that the Immigration Judge's decision should be upheld and that our client should remain in the Country with his family.
