During my time at the University of Kansas School at Law, I interned as a Judicial Clerk and a research assistant for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which works in the courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States. Also, worked with the Paul E. Wilson Project for Innocence and Post-Conviction Remedies, where we fought to overturn wrongful convictions.
While at the Public Defender's Office, I handled hundreds of cases from misdemeanor petit thefts, batteries, and DUIs to felony burglaries, drug cases, grand thefts, and sex offenses. During those years as a public defender, I gained experience in dealing with mental health and substance abuse cases from competency to specialty courts.
When you become a client, you benefit both from my past years of fighting for the most vulnerable defendants at the Lee County Public Defender's Office and from the backing of the well-established, well-recognized Law Firm of Scott T. Moorey.
Your representation has the added advantage of my lifelong pursuit of criminal justice and a passion for your constitutional rights, fiercely protecting them with focus and professionalism. In addition, you gain my perspective as both a writer of laws as a past legislative aid and as a defender of your liberties and the laws as your attorney.

Attentive and Efficient
Jill made sure that I didn’t have to return to Florida for my court appearances. She handled everything well and negotiated a fair deal for me. She returned my calls and texts promptly, keeping me informed and updated along the way. I had many fears about the outcome of my case, so I appreciated Jill...

Way overcharged Virtually no representation!!!!!!!!!
I hired Jill for a criminal case and was charged 9000 dollars to take the case and over a six month period talked to her personally about 6 times. Always had a paralegal or secretary return my calls. She did no investigating of the incident scene and it involved a firearm and halfway through the case...
"I had the distinct honor of trying a case with Attorney Prenger. It was a verdict of "Not Guilty". We both worked at the same firm for a couple of years. During that time, I found her to not only be sharp and prepared, but I also saw how much she cares about the people she represents. Her honesty and compassion not only benefit her clients when communicating with her but also when she goes to negotiate with opposing council. Her results reflect this."
"Ms. Prenger is an impressive lawyer who is dedicated to obtaining the best possible outcome for her clients. She consistently is going the extra mile for her clients and the proof is in the results."
"Attorney Prenger is the embodiment of zealous advocacy. I have personally seen Ms. Prenger go above and beyond for her clients in ways that most attorney's wouldn't even consider."
"Having worked with Jill for several years, I know she puts the time and effort in for each and every client to obtain the best possible result."
