Biography
Attorney Murphy first started his career in the exciting world of Professional Hockey. He spent many years as head referee in various hockey leagues in Canada and the United States.
It was when he was referring a game in Florida when he met his future wife, Attorney Kara Jursinski Murphy. While they were dating, Attorney Murphy became more interested in the law than hockey. He was determined to get his law degree and applied to Ave Maria School of Law. He was accepted and moved to Florida from his hometown of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.
He excelled at law school, even earning a full academic scholarship and appeared on the Dean’s List each semester. He also was a winner of the Moot Court Trial Competition and a Seven-Time CALI Award winner and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Now, in his professional legal career, Attorney Murphy focuses on Real Estate and Construction Litigation. His clients include many who are starting or working on construction projects or those who are suffering from construction project defects.
Attorney Murphy was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2018 and is a member of the Southwest Florida Real Estate Investors Association.

Young but promising
Ryan knows Florida law and procedure, but he has a little to learn about settling a case. I did not have a major lawsuit so I was fortunate to even get Ryan to take the case. Beyond superb!
