Please safe your time and money, and find yourself a lawyer that cares and is actually going to fight for you, and not just take your money. I hire Emily Hogentogler to help me get custody of my son. It took her 10 months to get a mediation date, which nothing got resolved at that time. 2 months late...r we had an hearing and right before the hearing, she suggested that we do a volunteer dismissal, and that the timeshare would go back to the way it was before where I would get my son every weekend. Assuming she knew that she was doing, I told her let's do it. Unfortunately I was mistaken, and she did not know what she was doing and the timesharing did not go back to the way it was before. I had to go through another Christmas and Thanksgiving without my son due to Emily's decision to dismiss the case. I never got an explanation or apology from her. After taking out $7500 from my retirement to pay her, the only thing I had to show for it was that child support would come directly out of my check and an $1000 medical bill. I had to take out more money to hire another lawyer, and he was able to do everything Emily couldn't in 3 months.
