I got into trouble with the law with a felony gun charge and steven wetter the best lawyer in ft myers was very honest and straight forward i spoke with other guys before him and he seemed like the most professional and the most straight foward guy in town and beat all the other guys by a mile ! He h...elped me ease my anixety. He always answered my calls and was always honest and he was there to help me out ! He even looked at me and spoke about his son who was the same age as me so he basically treated me like family! And understood me like i was close to him most lawyers just want you as a cilent he wanted what was best for md and my family!! I would recommend and send anybody his way ! I didnt even have to go to a court date or arraignment or anything he got the charges dismissed 2 weeks after the Arrest ! I was charged with my second DUI outside of 5 years, no breath test, no blood test, no urine test. There was also no audio or video from the officers, purely subjective evidence. The second charge was 2nd refusal to submit to breath test after license suspension in which the statute clearly states th...e officer MUST inform you that not only will your license be suspended again but also result in a misdemeanor charge. She did not state that there would be another charge(as stated by the narrative as well as the DMV hearing). $5000 is what Wetter charged me in order to represent me in this case. He avoided phone calls, emails and twice I had to show up at his office in order to try and get a hold of him. It took 4 months before he even brought a plea deal to me, I wouldn't consider him good enough attorney to take anything to trial plus he requires an extra $1500 to go to trial. My family and I were planning on moving out of state well before all this was going on. Mr Wetter had told me: “if you need to move up there, go ahead and I’ll handle everything down here”. He forgot to mention that if I would have done that I would have violated my Bond conditions with the bondsman and it could have been up to a 5 year charge for jumping bond. With time getting close to move I decided to take a plea because like I said he is not competent to take a case like this to trial and the time I spent waiting for him I could have be 1/4 done with any type of probation already. The days prior to me accepting the plea Mr. Wetter assured me and my family “dont worry about jail”. Again, I was outside of the 5 year period for the 2nd DUI, the officer DID NOT inform me of the misdemeanor charge which according to the statute is required. I had to do 10 days in LCJ and went to court to turn myself on my birthday. (Thanks Wetter, glad it took 4 months in order to get that done.) All my original charges is what I had to plea to, nothing was dropped not one charged was less than the original with nothing but what the cops narrative of what happened. A public defender will get you the exact same plea deal. Justice and the Law are two totally different things, Steven Wetter is STILL on the other side. His speeches he’ll give you about “wanting to work for the other side” is a crock. YOU DESERVE BETTER THAN WETTER

Steven Wetter is as goods as they get!!! I got a DUI in Feb 2014 with a BAC over .25 and he was able to reduce it to reckless driving with hardship. In 2015 got a DUI because I did not blow and he was able to get my driver license reinstated with out hardship and no classes. He is the best attorney i...n town!!
