Most of the good reviews are from 10 years ago. A lot must have changed with him since then. We had the need for a criminal attorney. We hired Mr. Celeya. To make this short he never sat down and got my daughters account of the events that unfolded. Nor did he questioned ANY of OUR witnesses, mys...elf included. All he "knew" was the ostensible police version of the events. He FAILED to ask, even the most basic and obvious questions; Were you read your rights? Did you ask to speak to an attorney? If yes, did they continue to question you? Were you coerced, threatened or intimidated into making a confession? He also never went to see her in jail to talk to her. He went to see her ONE time in jail (after she had been there a few months) for the sole purpose of demanding additional monies! She had signed a flat fee contract with him and she told him so. His focus was on money and banking on her taking a plea....the easy road. He FAILED to FIGHT. My best advice: Don't use him and find an attorney OUTSIDE of Highlands County. There are too many "good 'ol boys" here that focus on taking pleas rather than providing effective counsel and actually digging in and doing their jobs.

If you are looking for a great attorney who has the ability to practice in different areas of the law and is exceptional in negotiating, this is the attorney for you. He helped me with a complicated business transaction and unlike most attorneys who can hinder a deal, he actually worked hard to ensu...re that I was protected while at the same time helped to get the deal closed.

Mr.Celaya was their in a deep time of need always kept me informed so I never had to wonder. He is True to his word and actually works in the clients best interest in a timely manner and diligently. I cannot speak for all but I can say that if you NEED a Attorney you NEED the best and all the qualiti...es required to have that rest in this man (Mr. Roberto Celaya). When I retained Mr. Celaya to represent my 14 year old son for a horrible situation that he got himself into. He made mistakes that he is now paying for and working to change his life and this is only because of Mr. Celaya. There was never a question left unanswered, there was never a time when I h...ad to wonder what the next step to take was because Mr. Celaya had already informed me of it. Before we went into the courtroom each time, he would sit and explain to me what was going to transpire that day and then he would go talk to my son.
