I met Mr. Colon at a very difficult times of my life. I was charged by a poorly educated polk county sheriff’s deputy with a bad felony. This crooked cop has lied and faked evidence. Mr. Colon exposed all of it. From the first day he offered me a free consultation to the day my case got dismissed, I... lived a worry free 2 years, even so facing with up to 25 years in prison, just knowing Mr. Colon is my guardian angel. In 2013 of June, I was arrested by a former business partner who accused me of crimes committed and shortly after I was arrested in Georgia then extradited to Florida to face my charges. I was charged with 5 major felonies of theft and related crimes of theft. The experience of being charged, jail ti...me and being under investigation was the worst experience I have ever faced both mentally, physically and spiritually. My wife and I hired Mr. Colon while I was in Georgia and all along the way Mr. Colon and his team comforted, gave direction and kept us up to date with what was going on. My wife and I knew from the beginning I was innocent and that the charges filed against must have derived from lies. After investigation by our Lawyer Colon our conclusion of foul play by the supposed victim was correct, my former partner not only screwed me out of a business I built, he lied to the cops hoping to damage us, hurt my family and screw us further financially. Even though Mr. Colon knew by my documentation that I was innocent he did not play around with the cops and state attorneys office because corruption and unfair practices exist in the legal system, Excellent representation are always a must. Mr. Colon took my case serious so he was very thorough with my documents, witness's and knowledge I presented to him. Mr. Colon is not just an attorney he proved to me that he has the legal smarts, exhibiting above normal in his common sense, and was wise concerning how to deal with the state attorneys office, the victim and assigned judges to my case. Mr. Colon knows how to think from both sides and move accordingly. He definitely has a plan from the get go on how to protect you, represent you, and slowly but strategically reveal the truth. All of my questions when asked were answered if not immediate they were over time. Mr. Colon was sensitive to my needs, made me feel that he was not just looking for money but that he was in my corner, he gave me attention to detail in areas I thought was important and that we requested. Today July 18th 2024 I had my second appointment with the Colon Law firm. I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes as other's were attended to. I was there for my custody case with Hannah George who with me sitting in the waiting room discussed someone's else's case and even explained how both partie...s had motions for the same child... she asked her assistant how it could have been missed and then noticed me and walked away quickly. My custody case has had nothing done in months or even at all until today when Mr. Colon threatened me with an "order" which around 4pm today Mr. Colon helped the opposing council file for an expedition of a custody hearing. This is harmful to my side and not legal in Florida. Mr. Colon even slammed the door in my face as I asked for documentation that he was quitting my case. This is extremely unprofessional and concerning because no lawer should ever talk about other cases in front of others. Sad to see how childish Mr. Colon is and when he makes threats... he follows though. I have screen shots and pictures from today which will be on Google.

Gil Colon did not communicate effectively and spent most of his time with me joking around rather than discussing my case. He was disrespectful on more than one occasion, did not have a handle on the basics of my case, and seemed distracted most of the time. I did most of the work on my case; Gil Col...on even acknowledged I did most of the work. I believe he does not work well with female clients; just my opinion.
