Biography
Nicholas Langenkamp was raised in a large family in Southern Ohio, where he learned the value of leadership and collaboration. After moving to Florida, he attended the University of South Florida, earning a degree in English Literature while working to support himself. He then obtained his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2017.
During law school, he interned with the Public Defender’s Office for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Tampa, where he gained trial experience handling criminal cases. In 2019, he joined the Public Defender’s Office for the Tenth Judicial Circuit in Polk County, managing a high-volume caseload that included misdemeanor, felony, and mental health cases. His experience covers all aspects of criminal defense, from first appearances to trial litigation. He has taken over 30 cases to trial, including charges of sexual battery, burglary, DUI manslaughter, and domestic violence.
