Why must the funds from my CLOSED, matured CD (in the name of my trust) be transferred into another Trust Acct????

I think you and the bank had a communication problem.
The CD could have been "cashed" by you as trustee and placed into yoiur existing trust.

I agree with Attorney Frederick.
The only tax would be on income not taxed or fees taken as trustee.
