Biography
MARTIN S. AWERBACH, of Awerbach | Cohn, Clearwater, Florida, is board certified as a real estate lawyer by The Florida Bar since 1993, and is a past member and Chair of the Real Estate Board Certification Committee. He primarily practices real property litigation and title insurance law, has testified several times as a real property expert witness, and has been a frequent lecturer at CLE seminars on real property and title insurance law issues. Mr. Awerbach graduated from Rutgers College in 1975, and received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law in 1982. He is a member of The Florida Bar Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section; a Vice Chair of the Real Estate Certification Review Course Seminar Committee, past Chair of The Florida Bar Real Property Litigation Committee; and a member of The Florida Bar Real Property Problem Study Committee and of the Title Insurance and Title Insurance Liaison Committee. Mr. Awerbach is also a Vice Chair of a section of The Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Sixth Judicial Circuit; a member of the Florida Land Title Association Claims Prevention, Avoidance and Education Committee; the American Bar Association Title Insurance Litigation Committee; and past Chair of the Real Property Law Committee of the Clearwater Bar Association.
