Paul Frederick Showalter III

When Paul Showalter founded Showalter Law, he did so with the belief that a criminal defense attorney should be more than just a legal advisor; they should be a fierce advocate who knows the system inside and out. Paul has spent his entire professional life committed to criminal law, passing up the role of a generalist to master the art of the trial. His journey started in 2012, working in the trenches of the Sixth Judicial Circuit under Bob Dillinger. Dealing with a massive range of cases—from simple charges to serious felonies—Paul learned early on how to navigate the complexities of the Florida legal system while maintaining a deep sense of empathy for his clients. He is known for being a persuasive voice in the courtroom, someone who prepares every case as if it is going to a jury verdict. That dedication is why he is a trusted name in Florida state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit. Beyond his private practice, Paul still finds time to give back, regularly stepping in to help the Public Defender’s Office when conflicts arise. He is a regular face in the Pinellas County Trial Lawyers Association and is deeply involved in his church and local community. For Paul, the work is personal because he understands the impact a case has on a family. Outside of court, he is a dedicated family man and a proud dog dad who treats every client with the same loyalty he gives his own family.
