Jaime was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She attended the University of Florida in Gainesville for both her undergraduate degree (B.S. Accounting) as well as her Juris Doctor.
While in law school, Jaime was chosen as a member of the Justice Campbell Thornal Moot Court Team, where she served on the Executive Committee. She was also selected by her colleagues and teammates as a member of the Order of the Barristers, a National Moot Court Honor Society. She is also a proud member of Florida Blue Key, the oldest and most prestigious honorary in the state of Florida.
Jaime’s interest for family law started while in law school. But after graduation, she started her career practicing in the area of commercial and civil litigation, where she learned how to litigate. In 2013, Jaime shifted her practice to marital and family law as she enjoys the diversity of challenges inherent in family law cases, as well as helping and supporting individuals through the most difficult and challenging time in their lives. Jaime is an experienced trial attorney, and not afraid of the court room, but she highly values the Collaborative Law model for family law cases. Jaime has handled many collaborative family law cases. She recognizes the meaningful benefits this client-driven model provides to individuals, families, and children. For every case she handles, Jaime is dedicated to exploring all reasonable and creative settlement options for families.
Jaime enjoys being active with Bar activities on the local and state level and within her community. She has had many leadership roles throughout her career and values serving her community.
She is an active member of the Florida Bar Family Law Section, the Clearwater Bar and the Canakaris Family Law Inn of Court. Jaime was appointed in 2018 by Former Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. She is also a current Board member of Autism Inspired Academy in Clearwater, a school for children with autism. She enjoys spending her free time traveling and enjoying the Florida weather with her Husband and two teenage children.

I loved that she specializes in amicable divorces. She approached my X in a way that helped us make a ‘deal’ faster. Jam...
