Lindsey Sheppy

A longtime resident of St. Petersburg, Lindsey grew up in Sarasota. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics, with honors, from the University of South Florida; and her law degree from Stetson College of Law in St. Petersburg, graduating cum laude. Because of her academic performance, she was honored with induction into Phi Delta Phi, the international legal honor society and oldest legal fraternity in the country.

A desire to make a positive impact on her community was Lindsey’s strongest motivation to attend law school. She recognized the difficulties that individuals face that are involved in auto accidents.  She wanted to be able to help ease the fear and frustration of her clients. Lindsey has 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry.  Because of her experience in the healthcare industry, she has extensive knowledge of how to help her clients navigate through the course of medical treatment required to recover from traumatic injuries.

While in law school, Lindsey participated in the Veterans Law Clinic, where she represented injured veterans in appeals for denied disability benefits. After witnessing the difficulty that veterans encounter in obtaining the benefits they need upon returning from service, Lindsey joined the Military and Veterans Health Law Task Force of the American Bar Association so she could remain informed about veteran’s legal issues and continue to advocate for veterans and their health systems.

Lindsey has participated in many community causes, such as Lawyers for Literacy, through which she tutored third graders in reading. She has been involved with the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce for ten years.

Lindsey is an avid sports fan, and in her free time, she enjoys attending Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Rowdies, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers games. The Rays are her favorite—she went to their first game back in 1998! Having grown up in Florida, she also enjoys playing golf at many of the beautiful golf courses located in our area.
