Sean Marcel LeRoux

Sean LeRoux was born and raised in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies at University of South Florida St. Petersburg with a major in Communications, with a specific focus on Journalism and Media Studies. While at USFSP, Mr. LeRoux was a news and photography editor for The Crow’s Nest, the campus’s weekly print publication. He also wrote numerous stories for the publication as a contributor and staff reporter.

Mr. LeRoux ultimately decided to continue his educational pursuits at Stetson University College of Law—a school that is nationally renowned for its trial advocacy and legal writing programs. During his time at Stetson, Mr. LeRoux worked as teaching assistant to Professor Rebecca Morgan for her Wills, Trusts, and Estates classes for two terms, and earned the Book Award for highest overall grade in Negotiation and Mediation. He was also a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Society. As a student, Mr. LeRoux worked at both the Pinellas County Attorney’s Office and Raymond James Trust, N.A. as a law clerk.

Mr. LeRoux began his career as an associate attorney at a Tampa law firm that specialized in Construction Defect litigation. He started with Shelton | McKean in July of 2021 after making the decision to change practice areas in hopes of finding a position with faster-paced, hands-on litigation opportunities. In his current role, Mr. LeRoux represents a diverse group of clients throughout the state of Florida—most often in the areas of insurance coverage litigation, automobile liability, and property damage. He places strong emphasis on both client relations and settlement negotiation, working to resolve matters as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to minimize costs incurred by the client.

Mr. LeRoux enjoys spending his free time playing guitar, dabbling in film photography, and skateboarding around St. Petersburg with his partner.
