I am a bilingual immigration attorney licensed in Florida (Massachusetts Bar pending) and I founded my own virtual practice, Dextre Korkuc PLLC, because I believe every person navigating the U.S. immigration system deserves honest, knowledgeable legal representation in the language they are most comfortable in.
My path to immigration law is not a typical one. I was born and raised in Peru, earned my law degree there, and then built a second legal career in the United States, which means I have lived the immigration experience personally. I know what it feels like to navigate a new country, a new legal system, and a new language. That experience shapes how I treat every client who comes to me.
Before opening my private practice, I served as an active duty Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, where I practiced federal law, represented service members, and worked directly with government agencies. I now continue that service as a Captain and Deputy Staff Judge Advocate in the Air National Guard at the 104th Fighter Wing in Massachusetts. My military legal background means I bring precision, discipline, and a genuine understanding of how federal agencies operate, including USCIS, the Department of State, and the immigration courts.
I practice immigration law exclusively, and I serve clients across Florida and Massachusetts virtually, which means you can work with me from anywhere, without ever needing to travel to an office.
What I help with:
I represent individuals, families, and employers across a wide range of immigration matters, including:
Family-based green cards and Adjustment of Status
Marriage-based immigration and K-1 fiancé(e) visas
Employment-based petitions — H-1B, TN, O-1, L-1, and EB-1 through EB-3
Naturalization and U.S. citizenship
F-1 student visas, OPT, and STEM OPT
Asylum applications
Military immigration — including Parole in Place for spouses and children of active duty service members
Responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and denied petitions
I-9 compliance for employers
Who I work with:
I work with immigrant families trying to stay together, international professionals and the employers who sponsor them, students navigating their status after graduation, military families facing immigration barriers, and individuals who were told their case was too complicated or too difficult. It is often not. I will tell you honestly what your options are, what the risks are, and what a realistic path forward looks like, in English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.
I am responsive, direct, and honest. I will not tell you what you want to hear if it is not the truth. And I will not take your case if I do not believe I can genuinely help you.
If you have an immigration question, reach out. The first step is always a conversation.
