About Channing
Biography
Channing Thomas earned her undergraduate degree in English Literature and Philosophy from Vanderbilt University before pursuing her Juris Doctor at Campbell University School of Law, where she concentrated her studies in Intellectual Property Law.
During law school, she gained valuable experience serving with both a Judge on the North Carolina Court of Appeals and a Justice of the Virginia Supreme Court. These experiences provided a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and appellate practice.
Channing has practiced with established law firms, gaining experience across a variety of legal disciplines. She ultimately focused her practice on nonprofit formation and governance, business formation and operations, and intellectual property matters, helping organizations and entrepreneurs navigate complex legal challenges with practical, strategic guidance.
In addition to her legal practice, Channing is deeply committed to community service. She has volunteered extensively with nonprofit organizations and has served—and continues to serve—on the boards of multiple nonprofits.
