Brian M. Hoag was born in Manhassett, NY and raised in Fort Pierce, FL. His parents instilled hard work ethics in him, and challenged him to be a constant professional. He attended Florida State University and graduated in 3 years with a degree in Finance. He graduated from Stetson University, College of Law, with his Juris Doctor, while simultaneously getting his Masters in Business Administration from Stetson University, College of Business.
Brian practiced with a prestigious South Tampa Firm for the next six years predominantly representing large insurance carriers and their insureds in personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage matters. Although he developed a relationship with insurance adjusters and gained a defense insight to dealing with victims of negligence, Brian used that to his advantage to apply to the alternative. He left in 2011 to join Yesner & Boss, P.L. and start their Plaintiff’s litigation department. Brian became part owner of Boss, Arrighi, & Hoag, P.L. in 2013, before starting Hoag Law Firm, P.A. in 2014.
Brian helps victims in personal injury claims and wrongful death claims, stemming from car accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls, and products liability. Brian also helps homeowners in sinkhole claims, first and third party insurance claims and disputes, and commercial and construction litigation. In 2013, Brian began representing business and individuals in BP Oil Spill Claims.
Brian has successfully tried and arbitrated cases stemming from Ocala to Fort Myers, and was lead counsel for one of the largest BP eligible business’ claims to date of over $17,300,000 dollars. While presenting the case ultimately to a judge, jury or arbitrator is typically the last result, Brian’s goal is to successfully present each case from the beginning to adjusters, counsel, mediator, and expose extreme risk to successfully resolve each case in the most equitable and just way on behalf of his client.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys his family: Grace, his wife, and Stella, his daughter, more than anything. He also enjoys cooking on his Big Green Egg, live music, and supporting the Florida State Seminoles.
