Wesley Thomas Straw

Wesley Straw has been trying civil cases for more than 15 years. As a personal injury attorney in the Tampa Bay area, he has served as trial counsel in numerous catastrophic bodily injury cases resulting in jury verdicts exceeding $30,000,000.

Wes has earned an AV-Preeminent rating from the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell attorney rating service. He is a member of the United States District Court and the Florida Bar.

Wes Straw was raised in Pinellas County, Florida and now resides in Clearwater, Florida with his wife and three children.

Wes graduated from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science. He attended both Stetson Law School and Florida Coastal School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school, Wes served on the mock trial team, law review and was a Certified Legal Intern for the Duval County State Attorney’s Office. He was certified by the Supreme Court of Florida to handle civil cases for the Duval County State Attorney’s Office and won favorable verdicts for the office in all cases that he tried to verdict.

Wes joined Justin C. Johnson and Associates, P.A. in 2002 as a law clerk. He later became an associate attorney and represented clients in civil litigation matters including wrongful death, child injuries caused by defective products, automobile accident cases, child abuse, and catastrophic injuries.
