Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. Attended St. Petersburg Catholic High School. Attended UNC-Chapel Hill on a tennis scholarship. Named tennis all-American at UNC in 1986, and 3-time all-ACC. Played professional tennis prior to law school. Attained ATP world ranking of 326 (pro tennis tour). Following law school at Stetson College of Law, was one of the youngest attorneys in America to obtain a verdict in excess of $1,000,000 at the age of 29. Have handled many complex litigation matters including nursing home neglect, medical negligence, airplace crashes, cases against the Veterans Administration, product defects, international cases under the Hague Convention, conflict of laws between states, etc... Have obtained over 20 verdicts and settlements in excess of $1,000,000 either as lead counsel or co-counsel.
