Courtney Lynne Fish

Courtney Fernald is an experienced appellate and litigation attorney, having practiced in the Tampa Bay Area for almost twenty years. Courtney has been recognized by the Florida Bar as a Board-Certified Specialist in appellate practice since 2016, and has successfully handled appeals in Florida’s District Courts of Appeal as well as the federal Eleventh Circuit. Courtney also regularly advocates for clients in complex commercial and business litigation matters, and has helped to achieve favorable results in multiple trials in both state and federal court, including bench and jury trials, as well as arbitrations.

Her broad experience includes all types of business matters including partnership breakups and disputes, contract and tort claims, and prosecuting and defending state and federal statutory claims. Courtney also has experience successfully representing businesses in disputes with local governments at both the trial and appellate levels.

Outside of the office, Courtney is recognized as a leader in the legal community, having served on the Board of Directors for both the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. She is a past chair of the St. Petersburg Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association as its Treasurer.

Courtney lives in St. Petersburg with her husband, Jonathan, and their two young children, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, and exploring St. Pete’s rich cultural scene.
