On March 7, 2016, there was a derailment of an ACE commuter train along Niles Canyon Road, or what is called the Altamont Corridor. John Doe received severe physical injuries including a closed head i ... njury, a torn scalp, and a broken collarbone requiring months of convalescence. Investigation has shown that the accident was caused by a mudslide, and that this corridor has been historically plagued by mudslides and landslides. The area had been hammered by a thunderstorm prior to the accident. Claims will be filed with the appropriate agency by 09/07/16.
