Cory S. Cannon

Cory S. Cannon is a Tampa attorney and the founder of the Law Offices of Cory Cannon, PLLC, a civil litigation practice serving Tampa Bay and the Suncoast. He represents injured people in personal injury claims, and property owners, contractors, and businesses in property insurance disputes, construction litigation and construction defect cases, and business and contract disputes. He does not represent insurance companies.

A Florida native born in Tampa, Cory comes from a family that has worked construction in Florida for generations; his first job after high school was in the trades. He graduated cum laude from the University of Florida and earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where he completed Stetson's Concentration in Advocacy (trial advocacy, appellate practice, negotiation, and clinical casework) and received the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award for his work as a court-appointed advocate for Florida's neglected and abused children.

Cory worked as a law clerk for a civil litigator and law professor, drafting pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and appellate briefs. He has also worked as an attorney with Florida's Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office.

Cory reads insurance estimates, construction scopes, and repair invoices line by line and retains independent engineers and experts when a case calls for them. Phone intake is available around the clock.
