Sheron Alves Bass has been practicing law for more than 25 years. Sheron earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of South Florida and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law.

As our journey in life evolves, so too has Sheron’s practice and her areas of expertise.  Sheron’s expertise and concentration is in Elder Law with a specialization in Health Care Law and Risk Management.

Elder law today is really about “life planning.” It’s normally done by people who are in their fifties or sixties. In most cases people don’t begin thinking about “life planning” until they are in their eighties. This can be too late.  Elder and Health Care Law go hand-in-hand as both focus on finding care for people and providing them with a better lifestyle.  Sheron believes in “living life to the fullest.” She practices what she teaches by helping others.

Sheron’s expertise in Elder Law has allowed her to differentiate her practice from other Elder Law attorneys as she is a licensed and experienced Health Care Risk Manager licensed by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. With over 15 years of risk management experience and her success with preventing lawsuits, she grew her practice in this area. As Sheron understands the regulatory and healthcare law constraints placed on providers, she will work with doctors and hospitals to ensure you get the care that you deserve and that the providers are compensated for the care provided. “Negotiation is key and it’s really all about knowing how to ensure that insurance companies are reimbursed.” Sheron’s expertise and knowing the ins and outs of the payment process will make sure that it’s a win-win for all.

Additionally, Sheron could be called a “counselor at law.” She can help with more than the typical issues addressed by an Elder Law attorney.  As part of Sheron’s services, she works with financial planners and family decision makers alike, along with geriatric care providers, insurance specialists and other referral partners and organizations as needed.
