My client was charged with Child Abuse, third degree felony & Obstructing an Officer without violence, First Degree Misdemeanor. This was a situation where my client was disciplining his teenage son ... , who became disruptive and violent in the household. My client in return attempted to restrain his son. The police where called and my client was arrested and charged. I had an opportunity to present the facts of this case to the State Attorney office and explain that my client was innocent of Child Abuse. The case was later dismissed. While waiting for the paperwork to be comple ... te my client was cited with a misdemeanor traffic offense and arrested and charged with the violation of probation. I was able to work with the probation office, determine that the error was on their part, present the information to the Judge and the case was dismissed.
