Biography
Joseph Odato is a dedicated workers’ compensation attorney who represents injured employees throughout Florida. He focuses his practice exclusively on helping workers who have been hurt on the job navigate the workers’ compensation system and pursue the medical treatment, wage benefits, and compensation they deserve.
A native of New York City, Joseph earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law after receiving a B.B.A. in Finance and Investments from Baruch College, City University of New York. Before attending law school, he served three years in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He later worked in the financial services industry, focusing on regulatory compliance with federal laws including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Dodd-Frank Act.
Joseph began his legal career in labor and employment law, gaining experience representing both businesses and employees. His background includes matters involving wage and hour claims, discrimination, retaliation, employee benefits, class actions, appeals, and complex litigation. That experience ultimately led him to focus his practice on advocating for injured workers.
