Thomas Herbert Stanton

Thomas Stanton is a licensed patent attorney in both Florida and New York, focusing his practice on intellectual property protection, technology law, and complex business matters. He brings a rare combination of technical expertise, entrepreneurial experience, and legal insight developed over more than two decades in both the technology and legal sectors.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Stanton spent more than ten years in the information technology industry. He co-founded and served as President of BrixTec, an IT services firm that became a respected leader in the Tampa Bay business community. Following the company’s merger with IT Authorities, he directed national sales operations through 2013. His early experience as a founder and executive gave him a deep understanding of innovation, leadership, and the challenges faced by growing businesses — perspective he now applies to his legal practice. Mr. Stanton earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and an LL.M. in International Economic Law from the University of Toulouse, France, following his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of South Florida.

He has completed executive training through the Sandler Sales Institute, was a charter member of The Renaissance Executive Forums, and served as Treasurer of the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners (IAMCP) Tampa Chapter. Mr. Stanton’s achievements have been recognized across the Tampa Bay region. He was named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 30 Under 30, was a finalist for Tampa Bay CEO Magazine’s CEO of the Year, and was selected among Tampa Bay’s 100 Most Influential Business Leaders. Today, Mr. Stanton serves as part of the leadership team at Older Lundy Koch & Martino, where he focuses on expanding the firm’s intellectual property and technology law practice throughout Florida. His practice emphasizes helping innovators, entrepreneurs, and businesses protect their ideas, navigate complex regulatory frameworks, and leverage their intellectual assets for strategic growth.
