About Tami
Biography
Tami Trimming Shaw began her career as an attorney representing insurance companies. She brings this knowledge of their tactics and strategy to bear as an attorney representing injured individuals. Tami has the unique perspective of having represented both large insurance companies and injured individuals. During her representation of insurance companies, she routinely gave presentations and seminars to insurance companies and employers regarding litigation tactics. Tami has built a solid reputation as a staunch advocate for her clients in all phases of litigation. Given her experience, Tami is able to approach each case with all points of view in mind.
Tami is from Toronto, Canada, where she grew up playing basketball and was named one of the top 25 players in the country during high school. She earned a Division 1 basketball scholarship to Rider University and was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team.
Tami graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in Political Science from Rider University. She received her Juris Doctorate from University of Florida, Levin School of Law.
While in law school, Tami was an active member of the Black Law Students Association, W. George Allen Chapter and a member of the Entertainment Law Review. She also volunteered at a local elementary school in Gainesville, mentoring and tutoring students.
She is currently licensed to practice in all Florida State Courts.
