Colin Rice has extensive experience in re-zonings, comprehensive plan amendments, annexations, municipal code text amendments, variances, flood control regulations, special/ conditional uses, code enforcement, local official appeals, solar power approvals, bid protests, historic preservation, construction licensing and leasing, landlord/tenant issues, vested rights, homestead exemptions, easement disputes, alcohol permitting and special assessments.
Colin is a seasoned advocate who has represented clients throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, Sarasota, Manatee, Polk, Columbia, and Collier counties, as well as the City of Tampa, the Town of Redington Shores and Plant City, state agencies and various special districts.
He has been named as Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, Real Estate Law® annually from 2021-2023.
Colin spent five years as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Tampa and has been growing his local government, real estate, and land use practice in the private sector since 2019.
