On an October day in 2007, our client, who we will call Maria for privacy's sake, was driving down the road in the inside lane. A nearby driver lost control of his vehicle and crossed over two lanes of... traffic, striking the front end of Maria's car. The violent impact caused over $14,000 worth of damage to Maria's car. Maria, who was 29 weeks pregnant, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. She had cuts on her face and head, and MRI's showed hip and pelvis fractures.
