Nicholas Taylor Smith

I am a litigation attorney with Rubenstein Law’s Tampa office. I was born and raised in Orlando and I have lived in Florida all of my life. I received my bachelor’s degree and law degree from the University of Florida. During law school, I worked for the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office where I handled the prosecution of misdemeanor and DUI offenses.

I began my career as a defense attorney for large insurance companies and corporations. I learned how insurance companies approach and evaluate cases. This experience provided insight on how to use the same strategies against them. Ultimately, I knew I wanted to help people, not corporations, and I have devoted my career to advocating for individuals and families who have been injured due to another’s negligence.

I have successfully obtained favorable results in a variety of cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, trucking accidents, and wrongful death cases. I am committed to my clients receiving the compensation they deserve and I have obtained multiple six figure and seven figure settlements and jury trial verdicts. I believe in open communication and will guide clients through each step of the legal process.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, college football, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. My wife and I also have two young children, and we enjoy exploring Tampa Bay together.
