I am Louis P. Meyer, a Senior Attorney at Kanner & Pintaluga, P.A. I handle first party property insurance litigation and personal injury cases throughout Florida, working primarily out of the firm's Tampa and Boca Raton offices. Most of my clients find me at the worst point of a bad situation. A hurricane took part of the roof and the carrier is calling it wear and tear. A truck ran a light and now an adjuster wants a recorded statement before the swelling has gone down. The pattern is the same every time: a company with a claims manual and a team of lawyers on one side, and a family trying to figure out their next step on the other. My job is to even that out.
