LeesaAnn Dodds is a Tampa Bay native with unique professional experiences, a diverse background and an unwavering dedication to JUSTICE for all. While in college, she was involved in student government, as well as the performance arts including drama, choreography, musical theater and dance. In 2006, Ms. Dodds graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree. She was awarded the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship for four years, and also made the Dean’s List.
From 2006 to 2017, Ms. Dodds was a middle and Highschool school science teacher, and earned several highly-coveted awards, including the Hillsborough County Public Schools Highly Effective Teacher Award and the Teacher of Promise Award. She also was a Merit Award recipient. Ms. Dodds teaching Career began at Nature's Classroom, followed by Mann Middle School, Orange Grove middle school and concluding with teaching at her former high school, Blake high school in Downtown Tampa In 2017.
In 2012, Ms. Dodds earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing Michigan, where she again made the Dean’s List, and also was awarded the Eugene S. Quigley Scholarship. She began her law career shortly thereafter, starting her on the firm which allowed Ms. Dodds to practice law and continue teaching.
After having managed her own law practice for several years, Ms. Dodds joined Tampa Law Advocates, in downtown Tampa, in December 2017, where she quickly fell in love with foreclosure defense and added that area of practice to her already diverse Legal toolkit.
In October of 2018 Ms. Dodds re-opened her name sake law firm in downtown Tampa. The revitalized Dodds Law Group practices a wide variety of legal areas, such as; civil litigation, foreclosure defense, family law, criminal & traffic defense and appellate work.
Ms. Dodds is comfortable in the courtroom and on stage. She is a tenacious and compassionate advocate, and a PROUD Tampa native looking to make a difference in the community that has helped mold her into the advocate she is today.
