Leann Patten Parker

Leann P. Parker is a Senior Associate at Butler Pappas. Leann joined the firm in May 1997. she practices in the areas of fire and theft insurance claims and related litigation. Ms. Parker received her Bachelor of Science in 1989 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, in 1996 from Stetson University College of Law. While attending Stetson, Leann interned with the Polk County State Attorney's Office and the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office.

Upon graduation, Leann served as a law clerk and, after obtaining her Florida Bar license, as an associate for a commercial litigation firm in Tampa, Florida which represented commercial landlords in eviction and breach of contract actions throughout Hillsborough and Pinellas County. During this tenure, she litigated cases at the state court level and participated in discovery in aid of execution after obtaining judgments in favor of commercial landlords.

Leann co-authored "The Discovery Deal: Scope of Discovery in Suspicious Claims" for the DRI Insurance Fraud Seminar, San Francisco, California, May 1999.

Leann is a member of The Florida Bar, Hillsborough County Bar Association and American Bar Association. Leann is also a member of several professional organizations including Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention (FACAP) and the legal fraternity of Phi Delta Phi. She is admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
